He was so pleasant and professional in helping me make my decision. He took my chair -- and a wood piece that needed a little repair - and told me when he would return it. He texted me along the way, letting me know progress. and he delivered everything back exactly when he said he would. On top of it all, he did a great job at a very reasonable price.
I shopped around and met a couple of terrible alternatives -- one didn't return phone calls and one was a maniac that I kicked out of my house. Even though the bar was low for Alfonso, he was well above and beyond. I have used this company twice because the workmanship is so good! My most recent project was quite complex because it involved a lot of nailheads, and I needed them to reuse the old nailheads with the new upholstery. They nailed the execution! Also their pricing is extremely fair.

They made my grandmother's vintage 1952 hide a bed sofa look brand new, if I need anything else reupholstered that's where we'll be going

Alfonso quickly responded to our request to reupholster some vintage office furniture. He came onsite to assess our needs and quoted us on the spot. We were added to his schedule and he picked up our furniture the same week that we were quoted for scheduling. The furniture arrived back to us in the quoted time frame and is gorgeous!!! We are so incredibly pleased and impressed with the quality work.
Genesis Upholstery had to sand and seal the wooden legs and arm rests and made them look new. We requested that they remove old vinyl and try to keep the existing interior cushioning, if possible. These pieces are just as beautiful, and quality product, as when they were first made. We could not be happier.

I can't stop staring at the beautiful job Genesis did. I love MCM, I mean I really LOVE MCM..but you can't buy it in Nashville. So I purchased and had shipped Vladimir Kagan's cloud sofa, chair and ottoman from auction sites. Genesis completely recovered these finds and they are stunning! They also recovered dinette chairs and I can't wait to see them finish my Milo Baughman Chrome Lounge Chairs for Thayer Coggin (I just keep bringing more furniture to Genesis). We had a 28-year-old rocker recliner that looked just awful, but the structure of the piece was still really sturdy (plus, it was what we rocked our baby in after he was born ~ which made it hard for us to let it go). I decided to look into having it reupholstered. I called several area shops, most of which didn’t even answer my inquiry (and two that were very rude). But Genesis Upholstery called back immediately. What a godsend! They brought sample fabrics to our home, as I am immobile, transported it to their shop AND delivered it and several matching throw pillows to our new home not quite one month later. I can’t sing their praises enough! The craftsmanship is exquisite, down to the last detail. Their team was courteous, kind, right on time with their estimated delivery schedule, and they listened to us ~ and brought back the recliner exactly as we described!
